Academy Today

The Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation is situated in the center of Moscow near the metro station "Park Kultury". The ancient four-storied building, a 19-th century architectural monument, has three computer classes, 60 classrooms, two conference halls, 100 and 60 seats, as well as two lecture auditoriums, 60 seats each, thus providing for the study of 1400 trainees. The educational process makes use of modern equipment and information technologies. The Academy has four local computer networks and Internet access.

The department of technical aids for education is equipped with modern appliances: "congress-system" (synchronous interpretation in three languages), satellite television (32 TV channels of various countries), cassette and video recorders, 26 video classes, sound recording studio, sound amplifiers and copiers.

A wide selection of academic and reference titles in the library and the reading room as well as periodicals in many languages are at the disposal of the students and faculty.

The Academy offers facilities for physical training, sport and recreation. In the gym students go in for aerobics, gymnastics, badminton, volleyball, tennis etc, under the supervision of experienced coaches.

The Diplomatic Academy has its own Diplomatic club, which arranges meetings with outstanding diplomats, public figures, prominent Russian and foreign scholars. It stages various cultural events, concerts, presentations and receptions.

The Academy runs a well-appointed hostel. Medical services are provided by the polyclinic of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The first aid is given on the premises by a qualified nurse.

The Academy has a canteen, two coffee bars, restaurant "Consul" and a beauty saloon.
